Bread and more
Here you can pick up a basket of groceries for one euro, which are provided by Hövelhofer shops and companies. The baskets can be picked up once a week and are assembled according to individual needs.
In order to become a customer, you need a certificate, which can be obtained either from the Hövelhofer Jobcenter in Ostenland or from the asylum office in the town hall. During the opening hours you go there than and give the note to the employees. You will then receive a smaller piece of paper with a number and it will be stating the pickup day, Mondays or Thursdays. From now on you can pick up the food there.
If you have allergies, are a vegetarian or a vegan or can not consume certain foods, you should share this at that moment with the staff. They note this then and try to take this into account accordingly.
However, if something should end up in the basket, which you do not need, then it has become customary to store these foods on the packing table in the room. As a result, other people in need can take these products and nothing is wasted. If you need something from the packing table, you can of course take that too.
Some special products are clearly visible behind the counter, in a wooden shelf (see photo). These include hair dyes, candles, flowers and all sorts of other products. To get them for free, it is enough to address the volunteers.
